Compounding Pharmacy CA

MYERS History

Founded by Larry Myers, MYERS Apothecary Shop opened its doors in 1982, to serve the public and long-term care facilities with prescription medications. The pharmacy was housed in a medical complex adjacent to Ukiah General Hospital.

MYERS added home intravenous service in 1987. Continuing to grow, the apothecary began compounding oral and topical prescriptions in 1998. That same year, Ukiah Adventist Hospital purchased Ukiah General and soon renamed the facility Ukiah Valley Medical Center (UVMC).

Previous owner, Tom Reidenbach, joined MYERS in 1986 and purchased the business in 1999, when Larry Myers retired. Tom soon phased out the long-term care and home intravenous therapy services, to allow greater focus on prescription compounding.

Becoming one of northern California's largest regional pharmacies, in 2007, the Apothecary had begun to outgrow it's facilities, and Tom opened a second, larger operation just down the street, as MYERS Medical Pharmacy.

All retail pharmacy and compounding operations were moved to MYERS Medical Pharmacy in 2009.

In April of 2011, MYERS' Pharmacist, Tim Keffeler, purchased the business and now guides its future growth and evolution.
